    All I'd hoped for...

I have been eyeing this bag for several years and finally ordered it. What a gorgeous piece of artistry! It's even more beautiful in person, with amazingly detailed tooling, meticulous stitching, and a nice durable lining with plenty of pockets, leaving ample storage in the center section. I couldn't be more pleased, and will enjoy carrying it for years to come.

    Finally the perfect purse!

This purse is durable, the perfect size and allows me to juggle more because it is a cross body purse. I do wish it had an outside pocket for my phone so I can get to it in a hurry but it is still very functional. Hey Oberon! I love those charms now how about a bracelet to put them on!?

    Beautiful bag!

The workmanship in creating this back is simply outstanding. I love that it is roomy enough to hold everything I need securely.

    Hold everything!

Yes, this is the bag that is just the right size to hold everything. As I am getting older I need to take along a lot of extras and this bag fits it all. I particularly like the well designed side compartments, not only roomy enough for the larger iphone but also a place to keep my emergency medicines in one spot. This is the second bag in this design I've purchased. How about another pattern in black?

    Artisanal Every-Day-Carry

I wanted a smallish black cross body bag to carry locally for my routine activities of ordinary life--going to the grocery, library, post office, out to lunch with friends, etc. (For travel I wear a multi-pocket vest and seldom carry a purse.) I prefer artistic, American-made items, and as I already own an Oberon Kindle cover, checkbook cover, and two necklaces, choosing an Oberon bag was a no-brainer. This bag is intended to be a BIFL (Buy It For Life) item, and after carrying it for almost two weeks, I know I made the right choice. It easily holds in the organizational slots my iPhone 8, the phone charger, a slim wallet, a pen, my calling cards, a lip balm, and my car keys. I don't really need the Velcro pockets, but do have a couple individually-packaged wet wipes tucked in one.. In the main compartment I carry my hardshell eyeglass case, checkbook, 5" by 8" inch field notebook, and a small hairbrush. There is room for more along with what I have already listed. While I don't normally carry these things, I can include my 6 7/8" by 8 3/4" Dayminder, some colored pencils, my 3" by 5" sketchpad, and my old keyboard Kindle. And that still leaves the second Velcro pocket totally empty. I am 5 feet 4 inches tall, and the bag fits me best on the second longest strap hole. I can wear the shortest or second shortest length if I want to pull the bag up a bit, but the longest strap hole makes the bag hang too low below my hip. There was some learning curve to zip and unzip the bag quickly--remember to pull the zipper up a little first, and then over horizontally. Items can hang up a bit under the lip of the bag, and it is more intuitive to reach for the Velcro slots than the open ones, which are lower than the Velcro edge--it's just a matter of familiarizing yourself with this bag. After two weeks the bag and I have adjusted to each other and have become good friends. Highly recommended for beauty, style, top quality and practicality.

    Beautiful purse, good size

The purse is beautiful and seems very well-made. I’ve got some issues with my shoulders, so I was looking for a bag that was big enough to hold my iPad (with it’s Smart Keyboard), but not so big I’d fill it with more stuff than I needed and make it too heavy. This was exactly what I was looking for. I was iffy about the Velcro on the side pockets, and it does rub against my fingers occasionally, but it actually works pretty well. Altogether, very please with the purse.

Exceeds expectations - just as expected

I have curated several Oberon pieces over the last few years and have yet to find flaw or disappointment in any of them. In this case, I was specifically looking for a purse that was large enough to house my iPad without removing the keyboard & Apple Pencil, yet still have room for things like my passport, wallet & a few other essentials, yet still be small enough that it doesn't feel like a suitcase or carryon. No small feat, apparently because most bags are impossibly tiny (my personal favorite) or large enough to pack for a week-long vacation. This bag fits perfectly into that Goldilocks zone that I want when I'm traveling for pleasure and not carrying my gorgeous Oberon Messenger bag with my computer & other work-related accoutrements. Thanks, Oberon for making available such beautiful, functional, and long-lasting products. I'm looking forward to many many years of service from all of them.

    A beautiful purse

I've been planning to get an Oberon Design purse for years, but I had to wait until I finally found a job, in order to both justify and afford the purchase. I love my new purse – it is very well-made, and I plan to use it for at least 15 years (as I used my old purse for 13)--it's nice knowing that it should last at least that long, and will continue to be beautiful. It's so rare these days that one gets to use something that is both lovely and functional, and this purse is both!
