In a Scrooge mood this year? Remember what it’s all about! Elizabeth Laird, known as the ‘hug lady’ died last year on Christmas Eve. For twelve years she made a small, brave decision to be loving. In that time she made it her mission to hug over half a million soldiers being deployed to the Middle East as they left the airport. Learning she was dying, many soldiers made it their mission to visit her on their return. Love creates love and hate creates hate. It’s as simple as that. Let’s all follow her lead and take a moment to think of those far from home this Christmas and the families that miss them. Elizabeth understood that it didn’t matter if she knew or understood each individual. Her small act of kindness brought out the best in them. XOXOX
